MAC lipstick comparison - Saint Germain & Colour Crafted

I know a few people are talking about how MAC's Colour Crafted lipstick is a more wearable version of Saint Germain, well I'd be inclined to disagree with that. Saint Germain is more a bubblegum bluey-pink colour while Colour Crafted is just a pretty light pink colour.

Colour Crafted is a Frost & Saint Germain is an Amplified, the first Amplified lipstick I bought (and my only) and I find it rather hard to wear without tonning it down slightly by applying it with a lip brush, but I do love the colour.

GOSH Effect Powder - Holographic Silver. This reminds me of a more finely milled version of 3D Silver Glitter Brilliants by MAC. Very pretty.

Swine flu?

Hi guys. If you're wondering where I've been lately then I'll tell you. I'm pretty ill right now. I'm fairly worried it's swine flu so called my GP and talked to her. She said it's hard to tell over the phone if it's swine flu, but the NHS are advising people to not go into the doctors surgery because they're worried of it spreading. At the moment I'm not being given Tamiflu, but if it doesn't get better she said she'd give it to me.

Thankfully I'm not in the 'in danger' bracket. I'm not a child, I'm not old and I'm not diabetic, but I'm worried because my dad is diabetic. I hope he doesn't get it. I'd feel so guilty if he did.

I'm in such a foul mood today. I didn't sleep at all last night because I couldn't breathe and my nose was running all over the place so I got up at half three and watched A Bit of Fry and Laurie because I was sick of the sight and feel of my bed.

Hopefully I'll be back to making videos very soon.

Stockcount's are terrible

Have you ever done a stock count before? If you have you'll know that it is one of the most boring experiences of your life, especially when they are straight after a nine hour shift! In totaly I've been at work for 13 hours straight and I'm knackered to be honest with you! It's all made worse by the fact that I'm working tomorrow too and I never usually work Sundays anymore. Sigh. Oh well. I just need to keep thinking of the money, right? At least a hundred quid extra in my paypacket!

Also, I thought I should mention that the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation really is fantastic! I've had it on for 14 hours and it still looked as amazing when I came home as it did when I'd just put it on. I'm very impressed to say the least.

I also think everyone needs to watch and listen to this greatness-

Field Music = Love

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Peter & David Brewis (Andy not pictured. Sniff.)

You have no idea how happy I was made when one of my fellow Field Music fan friends posted a link to an article featuring the news that Field Music will be returning for a 3rd/4th (depending on if you class Write Your Own History as an album proper) album. Field Music are simply the best band in the world in my opinion. I've adored them for years now and have enjoyed many a good gig in the presence of three amazing gentlemen named Field Music.

When I first heard their music I was amazed at how unique it was and I soon fell in love with the noise that was unmistakeably Field Music.
The first gig I went to was at Leeds Cockpit. I only got to see Field Music as Field Music four times, but several other times as other incarnations, The Week That Was and School of Language (I was particularly impressed when David as School of Language supported himself in Field Music... If that makes any sense!?

It's been far too long since I've seen this band, the last time being at The Harley in Sheffield as The Week That Was. I still find it amazing that David recognises me. Such an amazing down to earth bloke.

And there is a slice of Field Music goodness for anyone who many not have heard them..

Favourite 5 items of the moment

1. MAC Naked Honey Skin Salve

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I've only had this for one day, but I am in love with it already. I used it on my lips last night and this morning they felt so soft and crackfree. My lips are always so dry and cracked but this helps so much. I used it on my elbows as well and they're super soft too. This product is worth the hype!

2. Illamasqua Phalic Nail Varnish

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I'm in love with this shade. It's such a pretty navy blue colour with blue glitter. It's divine. I love it, but probably not as much as Muse by Illamasqua.

3. Rimmel The MAX Volume Flash mascara

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I am always quite doubtful of mascaras and their claims, but this mascara is really quite fantastic. It doesn't clump and the impact really is quite amazing.

4. Maybelline Watershine Lip Gloss

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I am currently loving these lipglosses. The colour pay off isn't always that great but the shine they give is fantastic. They add a great finishing touch to any look. They are a bargain at £3.91 from Boots!

5. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Shell

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I am in love with this foundation! I've never had such a flawless finish before. The colour matches my skintone so well and it covers any inperfections. I don't even need to use concealer with this foundation it's that good! It's RRP is quite expensive, but well worth the price tag. I love it!

Back to blogspot!

Yes, I caved in and came back to blogspot (already!)
I decided that because not many people use Wordpress and I didn't really like any of the layouts on blogspot (and I'm really OCD about layouts for anything) I thought I'd search on the internet for a nice looking layout for blogspot and this is the one I found and liked the most. It's probably the best representation of me. Pink, black and stars!

Anyway, I thought I'd just transfer the post I made on wordpress this afternoon and my Naked Honey/Colour Craft haul over here..

Long time no blog

Hey everyone. I haven't updated this blog in so long so I thought I'd write a quick update. Today in the post I got my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and I love it so far, granted I've only tried it on my hand, but I love the way it feels. I'll try it out properly tomorrow and talk about it in a video.

Like I said.. a mini update for now... More later.
