Treacle Moon - The Candy Jar, Marsh Mallow Hearts

Have you ever wondered what heaven smells like? Well, I think I've found it! Allow me to introduce you to this offering from Treacle Moon. Within the last few months they've released The Candy Jar collection - a selection of wonderful smells that you'll remember for your childhood. 

This creamy liquid is lilac in colour and is named 'Marsh Mallow Hearts' is a bath and shower gel; meaning you get an amazing body wash in the shower and millions of lovely bubbles in the bath. 

Now onto the smell... 

Ooooh the smell. It's absolutely out of this world. It smells identical to the Lucky Charms cereal we remember from back in the day, as well as it's new popularity on import from America. There's no other way that I can describe it. Although, the strange thing is... they smell how Lucky Charms taste. I don't think Lucky Charms actually smell of anything, but this shower gel smells like they taste, does that make any sense? 

Anyway, this is my holy grail shower product and I'm hoping Treacle Moon keep making this long enough so I can get a few back ups. I haven't tried any of the other scents from the 'Candy Jar' range, but I've smelt them and they all smell gorgeous. I hope to try them some day.

Lexi wig from Wonderland Wigs

Ladies and gents (maybe), allow me to introduce you to the Lexi wig from WonderlandWigs.com.

As you can see, it's an absolutely gorgeous dark purple colour with a lovely lilac shade underneath it. It comes pre-styled in gorgeous loose curls and is perfect if you fancy the beach-look. It also features a finge/bangs which can be swept to either side or can just be kept in the middle if you so wish. 

The colour and style are just beautiful and so 'me' as I love dying my hair weird and wonderful colours. I've actually had my hair this colour before but it just never seemed to last as long as I'd like... now I can just throw on this wig if the moment takes me!

These wigs are made out of 100% Kanekalon synthetic fibre. Don't worry though! I know I've said the dreaded word 'synthetic', but you don't need to worry about these wigs looking shiny or or obviously fake. The fibre is soft, feels almost exactly like real hair and it has just the right amount of shine to allow you to get away with it.

Bdellium Amazon.co.uk Exclusive Precision Kabuki Brush

Hello everyone. Today I'll be talking about this brush that I picked up from Amazon.co.uk. When I bought it the price was £6.50 with free shipping, but since has gone up to £10.50 from a private seller. Probably just a case of Amazon selling out for the minute.

Anyway, this brush comes with beautiful purple synthetic bristles and black handle with a anodized aluminium ferrule.

Upon opening the package, I was actually surprised at how nice the brush felt. I expected it to feel really cheap, but actually it wasn't half bad.

As you can see, there are a couple of flyaway bristles, but nothing too bad.

It's also quite dense and really soft.

As of yet, I haven't used the brush, but will do a blog post once I've tried it if anyone is interested?

Yves Rocher Order - £35 product for free!

Today I got home from my little rural trip to North Yorkshire to find a package from Yves Rocher. I was emailed about this amazing offer a few days before setting off and couldn't say no. The offer was - your first item FREE. At first I thought the free item would be the cheapest thing, but no! Any item that you placed in your basket was your free item. So, here's what I decided to get -

When I first saw the Retropical line, I instantly knew that I'd love the scent and I was right! It's just pure tropical goodness and this is both a hair and body wash, obviously I won't be able to use it for my hair (colour treated and all that) but it smells amazing for a body wash.

Then I got the Retropical eyeshadow trio. Yves Rocher eyeshadows are usually pretty expensive and in comparison I think this works out as a better buy, plus the colours are pretty.

This is the product I picked as my free item. It's the Anti-Aggressions 24-Hour Antioxidant Shield Serum. At an RRP of £35, you'd hope it'd be brilliant. Here's hoping! It's a rather nice feeling serum which is supposed to protect your skin against pollution. I'll probably do a review on this once I've tried it out for a few weeks.

Nail Polish - Sinful Colors Sugar Rush Collection Cotton Candy & Sweet Tooth & Essie Summer 2013 Collection Naughty Nautical

While in Meadowhall last week I spotted that Sinful Colors had a new collection for sale called Sugar Rush. I love Sinful Colors anway, but these colours were all outstanding - pretty pastels and sweet-looking tones. At £1.99 a pop, these are amazing value. You get 15ml per bottle and the quality of the polishes is amazing. They last a comparable amount of time to OPI and Essie polishes - good, eh?

What's even better is that when I bought these they were buy one get one half price!

Here are the two I picked up -

In this photo they both look a similar colour, but one is a gorgeous candy pink and the other is a slightly pinky toned lilac.

Cotton Candy & Sweet Tooth

I also took a little look at the Essie nail polish stand, like I always do. I usually look at what they have, but I very rarely buy Essie polishes at full price. I saw that their Summer 2013 collection was available and took a snoop. When I saw this polish, I fell in love with it. I usually don't like green based teal colours, but this one was so unique. I think the thing that sets it apart from other polishes is the tiny glittery particles throughout the polish - much like Bikini So Teeny last year. I think this is the colour that everyone will be after this year!

I sat and tried to decide which colour of the three to put on my nails, but I couldn't decide - so I put all three on!

Latest In Beauty Glamour Edit Beauty Box

When I first spotted this box advertised in the latest issue of Glamour magazine I thought it looked like a very interesting deal. We've all seen Glossybox and Birchbox, but this one is different. Latest In Beauty do one off boxes where you see exactly what you're going to get. This box in particular cost £14.95 including shipping. When you compare what you get in this box to the likes of Glossybox, it really makes you think that GB really need to start upping their game! 

This is what you're greeted with when you first open the box. As you can see, it's bursting with brands that you've actually heard of and love!

This is what I was most excited about. I'm a big fan of Loreal's Super Liners, so imagine my excitement when I saw this was in the box! It's a gel liner that's said to last 24 hours. The colour is Gold Black and I think it's rather good, but not quite as pigmented as I had hoped. It comes with a little brush, but I wouldn't recommend using it as it's quite messy.

Batiste. Where would we be without Batiste? This is a travel size can of this wonderful dry shampoo. Would've been nice to have a full size, but can't complain.

Next is a Revlon nail enamel in the shade Siren. It's a beautiful orangey coral. A really nice summer colour.

This is probably the only item I'm not likely to get on with. I can't for the life of me get false eyelashes to say on my eyelids. Still, these look like rather nice neutral lashes.

Benefit Porefessional is a lovely primer and it's nice to have another sample size version of it. It's really small, but you only need to tiniest amount.

This Stila Lip Glaze is gorgeous. It's a pretty baby pink and gives your lips a lovely shine. It's not very pigmented, but still really nice.

This Ginvera Green Tea Exfoliating Marvel Gel. The title is quite a mouthful and it has some big claims. I'm looking forward to giving it a go!

John Freida Frizz-Ease. This stuff has been around for years and I used to use it quite a lot. It works really well so can't wait to give it another go.

Finally, here we have The Vintage Cosmetic Company tweezers. Not much can be said about these. They're lovely looking pink tweezers!

Barry M Neon Green Limited Edition Nail Paint

Barry M have brought out a few brand new nail paints. Two for Boots and two for Superdrug as part of a spend £6 and get a nail paint free offer. This one is the Neon Green nail paint from Superdrug. I didn't buy it as part of the offer, I bought it on its own as I have pretty much everything Barry M have released (kind of lol)

This nail paint is rather nice. It's not a massively neon green and the consistency is rather thin. It took three coats to get somewhat opaque coverage - it still could've done with another coat, if I'm honest.

I was a bit disappointed with the fact that this polish chipped within a couple of hours of being at work. I can usually get at least four hours out of it before it chips, but this one seemed rather flimsy. 

I'll be checking out the other colours. Fingers crossed they don't chip quite as easily!

Quick & easy way to get beach waves

I'll be honest, I haven't done this to my hair since I was around 5 years old, but I tried it last night and I have to say that I really like the effect. So, do you want to get your hair to the 'beach wave' style with very minimal effort? If yes, then read on...
I'm guessing that a high number of people have tried this at some point in their lives, but this is for the ones who haven't! So here's all that you have to do...

• Wash your hair
• Put plats (braids if you're America) in your hair while it's damp. The bigger the plats, the bigger the waves. 
• Tie string around the bottom of each of the plats. The string doesn't damage your hair like elastic bands would.
• In the morning simply pull the pieces of string from the ends of you hair. The string doesn't snag so don't worry about that!
• Carefully take out the plats and run your fingers through your hair and there you go!

You can always add some product to define the waves if you wish :)

 Today I'll be showing you Ripe For Love by MAC. This is my latest purchase from MAC and is my first blush from them in ages. I have to also say that it's also one of my favourites. The blush is a satin finish and the pigmentation is fantastic. You need only a tiny amount and it looks so nice.

Urban Decay De-Slick Make Up Setting Spray

I thought I'd do a blog post about one of my all time favourite make up products - Urban Decay De-Slick Make Up Setting Spray. Before using this setting spray I did use the Urban Decay All Nighter spray. Both of the sprays are basically re-packages of products by Skindinavia. The All Nighter spray did the job pretty well, but I found myself getting a little bit oily in my T-zone so when I had run out of that spray, I decided to give the De-Slick spray a go.
I fell instantly in love. It did all the things the All Nighter spray did, and there was no oily T-Zone. I found that the spray is certainly long lasting. So much so that I didn't need to touch up my make up at all through a long shift at work.
