X Factor Tour - Sheffield Motorpoint Arena - 02/03/2011 & Matt Cardle signing
Hey guys! It's been quite a while since I went to the x factor tour and met Matt Cardle at his signing. I made a video about it here:
So, that's basically the story of the day. I sadly didn't get to meet Aiden Grimshaw. I had a letter for him too and some zebra print headphones. Boo!

Collect London Owl Vest - As Seen on Aiden Grimshaw
When I saw Aiden on the cover of GT Magazine I initially couldn't look away from his pretty face, but then I paid attention to what he was wearing and tell a little bit in love with his vest. I did some searching around and found that it is from Collect London. They only print a certain amount of garments with that design and when I ordered a couple of days ago there were 13 prints left and the last time I checked there were 2 left. I bet it's all down to Aiden and all his Grimlings!

A guide to my favourite Visual Kei bands
I'm a huge fan of Visual Kei, a genre of music from Japan where image is almost as important as the wonderful music. Here is my guide to some of my favourites.

Two days off and other ramblings
Hey everyone!
Finally I have two days off work! Let me tell you, 9 days straight (including a few 7am starts and 9pm finishes) really takes it out of you! I know people may not really think that working at HMV is a hard job and in some ways I suppose there are harder ones out there, but we have a lot to do, especially when you're in charge of a section like I am. There's orders to do, stock to be put out, top seller reports, CITing, repricing, serving, cleaning, moving sections around, remerchandising and at this time of year... helping Christmas temps out and other stuff. At Christmas working in the one and only music retailer is hell on earth. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and can't really see myself working anywhere else, but Christmas is so stressful and it ruined my Christmas last year. I'm not quite as stressed this year, thank god, but there's still a week to go! I'm working Christmas Eve and Boxing Day too. Blagh!
ANYWAY, two days off. I'm going to see Russell Howard tomorrow (as I've mentioned in every post I've made recently haha) I'm rather excited about it. Then on Sunday I'll be doing the last of my Christmas shopping on Sunday at Meadowhall. Woo! I only need to get a few bits, including buying something for my dad to give to my mum...
The dilema of what phone to buy once my contract is up continues. I was pretty certain that I was going to get the Nokia E72, but my friend bought an iPhone yesterday and let me play on it during my dinner today and now I am confused beyond belief. I think I might be leaning slightly towards the iPhone now. Except the main thing that I use my mobile for is the internet and the lay out of the internet on the iPhone is a little annoying, or maybe it's because i'm not used to it. I'm used to Opera Mini, where you have an option to have 'mobile view' where it fits the whole website to fit your screen and you can still read it without having to zoom in. Oh the confusion!
Now, Formula 1 chat. The main rumour going around right now is that Michael Schumacher will be returning next year with Mercedes GP. Part of me is excited to see Michael back but most of me is sad because Nick Heidfeld was supposed to be getting that drive with Mercedes. I really wish that he'd get given a good enough car to win some races. I think maybe he'll stay with Sauber or perhaps not get a drive at all and that would depress me a lot, espceially because Giancarlo is no longer going to be racing. I wish test drivers drove in races haha.

How amazing is that? I'm really proud!

It's Field Music's new song and video. David and Peter are wonderful blokes and so nice. I can't wait to see them again in Feb and get all giggly while talking to David again. They are the most underrated musicians I've ever come across and any little bit of promotion I can give them is my pleasure!

I was thinking of doing a 'Photo of the Day' sort of thing, where I take a photo of something random that happened that day. An object, place or person. What does everyone think?

Stockcount's are terrible
Have you ever done a stock count before? If you have you'll know that it is one of the most boring experiences of your life, especially when they are straight after a nine hour shift! In totaly I've been at work for 13 hours straight and I'm knackered to be honest with you! It's all made worse by the fact that I'm working tomorrow too and I never usually work Sundays anymore. Sigh. Oh well. I just need to keep thinking of the money, right? At least a hundred quid extra in my paypacket!
Also, I thought I should mention that the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation really is fantastic! I've had it on for 14 hours and it still looked as amazing when I came home as it did when I'd just put it on. I'm very impressed to say the least.

Field Music = Love

You have no idea how happy I was made when one of my fellow Field Music fan friends posted a link to an article featuring the news that Field Music will be returning for a 3rd/4th (depending on if you class Write Your Own History as an album proper) album. Field Music are simply the best band in the world in my opinion. I've adored them for years now and have enjoyed many a good gig in the presence of three amazing gentlemen named Field Music.
When I first heard their music I was amazed at how unique it was and I soon fell in love with the noise that was unmistakeably Field Music.
The first gig I went to was at Leeds Cockpit. I only got to see Field Music as Field Music four times, but several other times as other incarnations, The Week That Was and School of Language (I was particularly impressed when David as School of Language supported himself in Field Music... If that makes any sense!?
It's been far too long since I've seen this band, the last time being at The Harley in Sheffield as The Week That Was. I still find it amazing that David recognises me. Such an amazing down to earth bloke.
And there is a slice of Field Music goodness for anyone who many not have heard them..
