Hello! I'm going to try to get back into the blogging thing. I used to do quite a lot of blogging, but due to work commitments I'm finding it more difficult to find time. So, after playing around with my blog layout for hours, I've decided on something that I actually like the look of and I'm ready to blog once more!
Anyway, I'll be starting off my new blogging kick with a little talk about the Disturbia Venus Boots!
As soon as I clapped eyes on these bad boys I instantly fell in love. I've wanted a pair of chunky goth style trainers/boots for ages now and these ticked all the boxes.
They look dark and dangerous with their black colour and spike detail. I especially love the chain at the front of the boot, as it jingles when you walk. People don't already notice you coming? They will now!
Want to know something else I love? The fact that they have a bit of a platform! Being a short-arse, I'll take any extra height whenever I can get it! The platform is around 1.5 inches so it makes you feel a little taller without you feeling like you're wearing a pair of stilettos. The sole is wide and provides a great base so you will never feel unsteady despite the platform.
These beautifully casual, gothy kicks fit true to size so you don't need to worry about sizing issues. I bought my normal size and they fit perfectly, with enough room to wear some fuzzy socks with them in the winter.
Added extra? They are so lightweight. When you first look at them, you kind of expect them to weigh similar to the chunky New Rocks, but oh no! These weigh a fraction of that so you will be able to wear them for long periods of time without having to worry about your poor, poor legs and feet hurting after prolonged wear.
Now to a slight downside... They're not that cheap at £82, but if you fell in love with them like I did, then I believe you won't be disappointed. They're a great all round shoe that's comfortable, stylish and lowkey look like they could hurt someone.
You can find these on Disturbia's website.
